As parents, we’ve all had a time where we sent our kids to school with a school photo order form, dressed in their cutest outfit, hoping the photos will turn out great this year...but when the photos arrive weeks later, half crumbled in our child’s backpack, we’re less than thrilled!

I’m ready to change that for the school families I work with. I offer professional school photography services throughout Connecticut and in parts of New York and Rhode Island, that are unlike the stereotypical school photos we’ve become accustomed to.  I’ve taken my first-hand experience as a parent of four kids and as a photographer and combined them to create a stress-free school portrait experience. I bundle quality portraits, ease of online ordering and no pre-payment requirements to provide the best experience for the schools, kids and their families.

Each school receives a customized experience. From background selection, shooting schedule, to the products and prints offered, we work together to come up with a plan that takes the work off of you and results in quality portraits that parents love!

Step 1 - Consultation   

During this time we will meet to discuss: 

• Background Selection, Props & Shoot Style

• Shooting Schedule - Full Days vs. Half Days, Mornings vs. Afternoon, etc.  

• Date Selection

• Print, Product and Package Offerings

• Fundraising Options

Step 2 - Get the Word Out!

I take it from here! My goal is to make this as easy as possible on the School Administration staff. I will create all posters, flyers and emails to market and remind parents that Picture Day is coming up!

Step 3 - Shoot Day!

On Shoot Day I will arrive about an hour before our scheduled start time to set up, test lighting and organize the schedule. I will have with me 1-2 assistants to help keep everything flowing and smooth. We do ask for at least one resource to help with identifying children and providing a familiar face for shy children. Please note that anyone assisting will be fully vaccinated and wearing masks. We take health and safety seriously. If your school has any additional protocols, you would like us to follow, please let us know during the consultation.

Our goal is to keep things moving to cause the least amount of disruption to your school schedule! We try to capture 3 to 5 quality images of each and every child to ensure parents have a variety of pictures to choose from. Based on the child's cooperation we may do a few more or a few less. We can capture any age beginning at 8 weeks and will provide props to help with babies who are not yet able to hold their head or sit independently.

Step 4 - Making Magic!

School photos are a representation of my work and I take the same care and consideration to edit these pictures that I do with my full photoshoots!! Basic retouching - bumps, bruises, runny noses, etc are edited at no extra cost to parents. Parents can elect to have heavier retouching at a nominal fee.

My goal is to deliver to each parent quality images capturing this special time in their child's life. I try to provide images with a range of poses and emotions to really pull at the heart strings!

Image turn-around time is 3-4 weeks on average - school size and time of year will impact this average.

Step 5 - Parents Only Buy What They Love!

As a parent I always hated the standard school process - Pre-Pay before even seeing the images and someone else decided which ONE is the best picture of my child. This is why I have a standard policy of no upfront costs and only buy what you love! Which is the "best" image is very subjective. What I think is the best shot may be very different than the one the parent selects. By providing at least 3 and on average 5 varied choices - Parents decide which memories they want forever! Can't decide? I provide package discounts so that parents don't have to choose.

Each parent receives a personalized portal for their child/children. Portals are password protected for privacy. When pictures are ready, parents will receive the link and details to access their gallery. Purchases are made right in their portal securely utilizing a debit or credit card. Digital images that are purchased are delivered for immediate download by the system. Print and product purchases will be ordered through professional photo labs and are packaged, sorted by classroom and delivered to the school on an agreed upon date. Direct ship options are available if desired.

All parent questions, comments, etc should be funneled to me directly to avoid burdening the school staff. My goal is complete satisfaction - If a parent isn't happy, we will find a solution!
